Dracula

Behold!  The first comic.

This is Alex typing, and since I’ve moved this comic over to Wordpress with ComicPress, I’m going to be adding commentary to every strip using this space.

SUPER COMMENTARY #1: This did indeed happen, as most Jigworthy strips did.  It’s verbatim from real life, though the actual exchange probably happened while Jeremy and I were at Rice King, while working.  Once I decided I wanted to do a webcomic, it took me awhile to actually come up with something to do for the first strip.  I actually drew this during fall of my senior year of high school, over a year before the posting date, when I happened to be reading Dracula in my English class.  Which is probably why the artwork looks a little hokier than subsequent comics.  I was using slightly different proportions in this than in the next strip, Cheez-Its.

It’s worth noting that around the time I drew this was when I first wrote the short story that would become Garanos, the comic I’ve been working on since Jigworthy’s demise.

It was indeed at Rice King. I was in the same class a year ahead of you and I was reading it when I first started there for the same reasons!
I think the idea for Jigworthy came one year at Ohiocon. We had started a notebook of ideas simply because our misadventures there seemed appropriate to start a comic book! And of course, this was the first we thought of!
